My Fair Wedding

David Tutera's My Fair Wedding is a new show on WEtv that showcases his talents and a few engaged couples who want to plan some crazy weddings! This clip I thought was hilarious. This couple is telling David about how they want a Mummer Parade themed wedding. The best part is the facial expressions he has when they tell him what they want! Good luck David! He's a great wedding planner and is really funny!

Catch his show Sundays at 10pm on WEtv...

Bridal Gowns

I've been doing some research on the latest bridal gowns and I maybe have found a few that are utterly gorgeous and classic. Every Friday, it has been a ritual of mine to watch "Say Yes to the Dress" (TLC). I love seeing different types of women trying on different dresses. Hopefully I can go to Kleinfeld's one day to get my dream dress!!!

Priscilla of Boston carries all of these gorgeous dresses, so take a peek at all of the fabulous dresses they carry at http://www.priscillaofboston.com/index.jsp

Bridesmaids

Finding the perfect dress for your bridesmaids to wear can be a tough job. You have to put each of them into consideration and make sure the dress you pick will fir their body type. Short, tall, slim, not-so-slim, you have to each and every one of them in mind when picking out their dresses because the pictures from your wedding day will last forever!

For my sisters wedding, her colors were black, white, and green apple. She wanted her maids to wear black dresses not giving them any specific one to wear. This worked great because all of us got to choose whatever black dress we wanted, and who doesn't have that LBD already?? We all looked great in the pictures because everyone wore a black dress that matched them perfectly and didn't have to spend that $200+ on something they may never wear again!

Well, if you're not choosing to use black dresses for your BM's here are a few dresses I've found that are sure to spark attention and they can wear again! That's really another important factor... be nice, and pick out dresses they can wear again!

Pick of the Week - Amsale

Amsale has been a favorite designer of mine ever since I saw her on the Oprah show a few years back. I go on her website every now and then to see her new designs, and today I've fallen in love.

This beautiful silk taffeta, one shoulder gown is so elegant with a modern twist. I believe a gown like this would look good on any body type, including all you curvy girls (like me)!! The mermaid style gowns are sure to set off cameras by showing off your hips and stunning features!

I love the one shoulder as well. The gown will accentuate all of your upper body features and make for a glamorous bride...

I hope you enjoy this gown as much as I do. Amsale is one of the best designers out there. Be sure to check out her other gowns, especially her Blue Label Collection http://www.amsale.com/bridal/index.shtml

Bright White

I love monochromatic cakes. And i love them even more when they're white! Here are a few cakes I have found that are gorgeous and are sure to add that special touch to your wedding day. These cakes are made with fondant icing, but I know many wedding cake bakers are talented and can create this look using buttercream icing for the budget conscious. It will look just as good and you'll be able to save a few bucks.
Adding your wedding flowers to the top of the cake will add that simple touch of class! And you can't beat the matchy-matchyness of it... sorry I know thats not a word but I'm sure you get the picture.
I hope you can enjoy these cakes.. I just had some ice cream and one of these cakes would have gone PERFECTLY with it... Mmmm...

Pick of the Week - Wedding Gown

Hi all,
Can we just take a moment to admire Monique Lhuillier? She is an amazing designer and her wedding gown creations are to die for. I have featured some of her dresses before but this dress stands out from the crowd and is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your wedding! I love the sweetheart neckline, delicate ruching, as well as the full floral skirt. It radiates romance and will make jaws drop! It is an exquisite gown which is exactly why I am making it my Pick of the Week..

It is beautiful Ms. Lhuillier.. Keep giving us to-die-for gowns!

Pick of the Week - Flowers

I know that these flowers are out of season but they're my favorite and the color of them just put me in a good mood. They're peonies and are a spring flower and can range in many different colors. They are a native flower to Asia, North America, and parts of Europe. There are about thirty species of peonies and all are gorgeous!

Enjoy my pick of the week!

Un-veiling beauty

Etsy is a great website to find the latest in all things wedding! I have found four of my favorite veils that are great this season. They add drama and show a statement of style and grace. Etsy is a great place for up and coming designers to sell some of their latest designs. The blusher (pic #1) and the veil with the peacock feather have to be my favorite. Choose a feather with your wedding colors and you're all set to go! These totally remind me of old Hollywood and the classy ensembles they used to don.
Stay tuned for more amazing accessories for your big day!

Cute Cake Toppers

I found these super cute cake toppers on that wonderful website www.etsy.com
Just type in cake toppers in their wedding search engine and youll be sure to find some "mini-yous" in the selection. I thought these were great and the second one even bears a slight resemblance to me and my boyfriend.. I'll be keeping that cake topper in mind for our big day!
Enjoy these cute lil' things!

Flower, girl!

Hi all!
So I just wanted to briefly talk about and show some of my favorite flowers. These bouquets can be used for centerpieces or bridal bouquets, if done right! I have been loving peonies all summer and am craving to use some in my latest flower arranging, but too bad they are completely out of season! I love the bright pink peonies for centerpieces because the buds are so big and with the color of fuschia it is sure to set a fun and flirty tone at your next event or wedding! Or even just using the classic white flowers. You can never go wrong!
I've been trying to find flowers that will fit the taste of every woman so I hope I am successful is showing that!
Enjoy my latest inspiration boards everyone!

Spotlight Vendor - Photographer

Wow it has definitely been awhile since I've written but that is all going to change as of now! I'm getting back into my new schedule which is the reason I have been m.i.a. but sweetface is back folks!
This week I would like to introduce an amazing photographer based in Toronto, Ontario. His name is Joee Wong and is not only a wonderfully creative photographer but having him photograph your special day will just add that special touch! He is near and dear to my heart because he has photographed my sister, Sarena's wedding in Leesburg, Virginia, and he photographed my cousin Vanessa's wedding in Jamaica! Pictures from both weddings were so amazing that it lead me to tears. I remember my sister's wedding like it was yesterday and seeing his pictures just keep reminding me of her special day.
Definitely take a moment to check out his blog and see his slideshow. Take a look at his amazing talent and creative eye! The pictures are amazing!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures. Enjoy!

Thanks for letting me write about you this week Joee!

Caked Goods

One of the things I always look forward to at a wedding is the cake! A wedding cake can be so beautiful and will really say a lot about the couple's style and flair. I've seen so many different cakes. Some outrageous and some very classic. I like it when couples find a way to stay classic with white buttercream or fondant but they add unique flowers or add something else to the cake that you rarely see! Here are a few cakes that show you more of what I'm talking about.

Enjoy it! I wish I had a taste of all of these...

On my days off...

Just like a couple weeks ago I decided to do more flower arranging today! But instead of running out to the local florist I decided to pick the beautiful hydrangeas my mom grows outside. They were big blooms of purples, blues, and pinks. Here is my creation of the week and I hope you like it!

Here's to wonderful days off of work...

Sweetface Pick of the Week

This Pick of the Week we're going with a beautiful dress designed by Douglas Hannant. He's an excellent designer with very modern yet classic bridal gowns. Be sure to check out his latest designs at www.douglashannant.com.
Enjoy this Pick of the Week. It's an ivory strapless, dropped waist gown with a mermaid skirt and is gorgeous. It has such clean lines and is simple but still makes a great statement. Any bride would look amazing in this dress!
You can find this dress at Kleinfeld in NYC. Isn't it beautiful? You should see his other dresses too..

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes!

I feel like its been awhile since my last post. So I need to catch up on some things!

Ok, so I'm loving the look for a wedding gown with bright colored shoes to match the themes of the wedding. I've found a lot of pictures that feature this new trend and hope you can get some inspiration...

My favorites are the last two pairs of shoes! I especially LOVE the J. Crew pair on the right =)

So if you're wondering where to get the perfect pair but don't have the Louboutin budget look to ebay or other online shoe stores such as zappos.com.
Last year my sister found her silver Sam Edelman flats on ebay for a great deal! She wore them with her ivory lace gown and it looked amazing, and to top it all of she was comfortable at the same time!

I love these last two shoes. I don't think I personally would have a blue wedding but for those shoes I would consider it!

Designer Duds

I have been scouring the net for the latest in beautiful bridal dresses and have found a few that I would love to wear at my own wedding. These are all designer gowns that are just exquisite and timeless. The designers that I have mostly researched for this entry are Monique Lhuillier and Amsale. They are my top two favorite. Their designs are very classy and sophisticated but very modern and contemporary at the same time! There are always little details to the dresses that make it stand out for a bride's wedding day.
These gowns are some of my favorites and some of the best ones I have seen recently. I especially love this last one with the feathers coming out of the back! It's gorgeous.. I remember last year while planning my sister's wedding, she tried on an Amsale gown at a department store here and she looked amazing in it! It was similar to the dress in picture #3 with an empire waist and around the bust there were beaded flowers. It was so elegant, but not the right fit for what she envisioned her wedding dress to be. Maybe I will be able to wear something like that for my big day! Only one can hope...
